Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Block scheduling available | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Monitor and manage patients with high-acuity cardiac and neurovascular conditions
- Identify and respond to dysrhythmias and telemetry changes in a timely manner
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
Required Qualifications- Active Alabama RN license or compact license in good standing (no pending actions) required at time of submission
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience with high-acuity patients
- Demonstrated experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Experience administering cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Prior experience working in large healthcare facilities
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med-Surg or step-down setting
