Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36–48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF population
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and apply strong critical thinking skills to manage complex and changing patient conditions
Manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foley catheters, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
Float within skillset to alternate campuses as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus float assignments
Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records system
May be required to precept nursing students and new-hire staff as part of a teaching hospital environment
Required Qualifications
Current, active compact RN license
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIHSS certification
Minimum 2 years of recent, strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience
At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
Trauma Level II experience
Recent Epic charting experience required

Experience with remote telemetry and advanced Med-Surg skill sets including tracheostomy care and PCA management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented, professional approach
