Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical in Fargo, ND

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | No call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for general Medical/Surgical patients on a 15-bed, all-private-room unit
• Perform initial admissions and deliver care for patients transitioning from the ER until placement in an assigned unit
• Utilize Epic EMR, Omnicell medication system, Aleris IV pumps, and Zebra phones for communication
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights in a fast-paced environment
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience (high-bed Level II Trauma experience may be considered)
• Epic EMR experience
• BLS certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume acute care or trauma setting
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems and Aleris IV pumps
• Demonstrated ability to manage patient admissions efficiently in a transitional care environment
