Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5, managing general medical patients including those with sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and related diagnoses
Titrate drips including insulin and heparin infusions as required
Monitor telemetry via a centralized remote monitoring system; ability to read telemetry strips independently is expected as no on-unit tele monitor techs are available
Collaborate with CNA support staff and coordinate patient care across the unit
Float within the regional hospital network when additional support is needed at partner facilities
Adhere to unit-specific orientation requirements and professional dress code standards
Required Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) state licensure
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Ability and willingness to float to partner facilities within the regional network as needed
Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
BSN degree preferred
2+ years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
Experience reading telemetry strips independently
Familiarity with titrating insulin and heparin drips
