Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout each shift
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EHR
- Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
- Participate in weekly Monday orientations as scheduled
- Collaborate as a team player and take ownership of assigned patient care responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EHR
- Ability to work rotating weekends
- Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 5 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
