Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Ortho / Neuro
Location
Florence, SC
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (minimum Saturday and Sunday)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients with a focus on orthopedic and neurological conditions
- Manage a patient assignment within a 1:6–7 nurse-to-patient ratio during night shift hours
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic electronic health record system
- Float within scope to like units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
- Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand prior to start date
- Current BLS certification
- Willingness to work every other weekend, including both Saturday and Sunday
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (locals not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
- Prior experience in orthopedic and/or neurological patient care strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
