Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Medical Surgical unit serving an adult and geriatric population
Manage common diagnoses including COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, sepsis, infection, and end-of-life/hospice care
Maintain a 1:6 patient ratio while operating Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps
Document and manage patient records using Cerner EHR
Float as needed to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units (accepting med/surg level patients)
Work every other weekend; no on-call requirements
Required Qualifications
Active North Carolina RN license or compact RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience
Proficiency with Cerner EHR
Demonstrated IV competency
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
