Key Responsibilities of the MedSurg Registered Nurse

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical setting
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments
Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, responding to changes as needed
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery plans

Requirements of the MedSurg Registered Nurse

Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
Strong organizational and patient care skills
