Provide general nursing care for a primarily geriatric patient population with conditions including CHF, COPD, and diabetes on a 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit
Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
Float to the Emergency Department within scope of competency as needed
Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation requirements
May be placed on call due to low census; callback minimum is 2 hours
Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR; operate CareScape patient monitors and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Required Qualifications
Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Proficiency with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification preferred but not required
Emergency Department (ED) experience preferred; candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred
Ability to work across multiple departments is ideal; Med/Surg-only candidates will be fully considered
