Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 72 hours biweekly
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a primary focus on geriatric patients presenting with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–1:5 during day shifts and an average of 1:6 during night shifts
- Float to the Emergency Department within scope of competency as needed
- Accurately document patient information using Epic EMR and Care Scape patient monitors
- Administer and manage medications using Pyxis dispensing system
- Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation; available for on-call and call-back assignments with a minimum 2-hour call-back requirement
Required Qualifications- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Prior ICU and Emergency Room experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR, Care Scape patient monitors, and Pyxis medication dispensing system
Preferred Experience / Skills- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong clinical charting and documentation skills across multiple platforms
