Travel Registered Nurse – Orthopedic/Trauma (Medical Surgical), Day Shift (7A–7P)

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: August 24, 2026 | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Orthopedic/Trauma unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
- Care for post-operative patients including knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as trauma and neuro overflow patients
- Utilize traction, fixators, and cooling equipment in accordance with unit protocols
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Conduct bedside shift reports and perform hourly rounding in alignment with patient experience standards
- Float to other Medical Surgical level-of-care units (General Med Surg, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma) as needed per floating policy
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
- Ability to work 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
- Willingness to float to comparable Medical Surgical units as contract labor per facility policy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred
- Telemetry (Tele) experience
- NIH Stroke Scale certification or familiarity, given neuro overflow patient population
