Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (06:00–18:30 or 18:00–06:30) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 23-bed Medical Surgical unit with a maximum nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 (1:5 on day shift Monday–Friday)
• Float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for Medical Surgical assignments as first priority, unless telemetry trained
• Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements, with no more than one holiday off requested per contract period
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications, including BLS and NIHSS

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Willingness to float to PCU for Medical Surgical assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry training or experience (reduces floating obligation)
• Prior Medical Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting
