Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Registered Nurse Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Mon - Fri), 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. (Sat) Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required Must-Have: Strong clinical judgment, organization, prioritization, and communication skills Description: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience. The RN provides medication and nursing services in collaboration with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care, efficient resource utilization, and compliance. The RN maintains medication inventory and supplies and ensures completion of required quality control checks for point-of-care testing. The RN documents all patient care and clinical services in accordance with professional nursing standards. The RN manages daily medication room opening and closing. The RN communicates effectively with other departments to serve as a reliable resource for patients and clinic staff. The RN performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care. The RN implements and evaluates nursing interventions and patient responses. The RN administers medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy. The RN recognizes changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions or escalation of care. The RN provides patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs. The RN delivers culturally responsive, patient-centered care. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care. The RN facilitates referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services. The RN documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record. The RN advocates for patient care and assists patients in navigating the healthcare system. The RN practices within nursing scope of practice and adheres to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements. The RN participates in quality and performance improvement activities. The RN maintains required competencies and certifications. The RN reports adverse events, near misses, and unsafe conditions per policy. The RN demonstrates professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork. The RN provides appropriate guidance and delegation to ancillary staff. The RN supports orientation, mentoring, and education of staff and peers. The RN may float to other departments or assignments as needed. Education and Licensure: Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required. All required certifications must be obtained as applicable to the area of practice within specified time frames. Knowledge of nursing principles, evidence-based practice, medication safety, and infection prevention is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds, and to stand for extended periods. Employees are responsible for complying with safe work practices, reporting injuries and unsafe conditions, and cooperating in safety investigations.
