Travel RN – Med/Surg Trauma Neuro ICU (2N) | 3x12s – Nights

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 3x12-hour shifts | 12-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Trauma Neuro ICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:4 depending on acuity and stepdown or bedhold status
  • Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, CRRT machines, cardiac monitors, and IV pumps
  • Perform and assist with procedures including TLC placement, intubation, CRRT, TTM, Stroke tPA administration, foley catheter insertion, CPR, defibrillation/cardioversion, and TEE
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate as part of a night shift team consisting of a charge nurse, 6–7 RNs, 1–2 PCAs, and sitters as needed
  • Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN state licensure
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Demonstrated ability to pass EKG competency exam for cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TCAR certification
  • Prior experience in a Trauma or Neuro ICU environment
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
