Staff RN – Medical/Surgical (4th Floor)

Contract | Full-Time | Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for Medical/Surgical patients
Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner, implementing physician orders as written
Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, and accurately in accordance with established policies and procedures
Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner
Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in a professional manner
Required Qualifications
Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio
Current CPR certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Demonstrated critical thinking, independent decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous Registered Nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical setting
Familiarity with AIDET and TeamSTEPPS communication frameworks
Experience supervising or directing nursing assistants in a clinical environment
