Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process from admission through discharge
- Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely, and implement physician orders as written
- Notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner
- Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum
- Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process
- Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in a professional manner
Required Qualifications- Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to perform heavy-duty physical work, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous Registered Nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Experience working in a Medical/Surgical nursing environment
- Familiarity with AIDET and TeamSTEPPS communication frameworks
