Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for medical/surgical patients
  • Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Implement physician orders, notify physicians of pertinent observations, and document changes in patient status
  • Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
  • Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate documentation of the nursing process and care pathways
  • Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in a professional manner
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Ohio
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Previous Registered Nursing experience in a medical/surgical or acute care setting
  • Familiarity with AIDET and TeamSTEPPS communication frameworks
  • Experience supervising or directing nursing assistants in a clinical environment
