Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for medical/surgical patients
- Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Implement physician orders, notify physicians of pertinent observations, and document changes in patient status
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
- Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate documentation of the nursing process and care pathways
- Direct and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and co-workers in a professional manner
Required Qualifications- Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to make independent decisions
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous Registered Nursing experience in a medical/surgical or acute care setting
- Familiarity with AIDET and TeamSTEPPS communication frameworks
- Experience supervising or directing nursing assistants in a clinical environment
