Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgical patients, based on scientific nursing principles
  • Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions in accordance with facility policy
  • Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays, vital signs, and medical information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Initiate and deliver patient and family education plans as prescribed, including post-treatment home care instructions and illness or injury management
  • Perform bedside procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV starts; respond to life-saving situations per nursing standards and protocol; participate in discharge planning
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical nursing
  • Active Wyoming RN license or a multi-state RN license (must be provided at time of submission)
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be provided at time of submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Previous experience working in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract capacity
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
