Contract | Night Shift | Expected 48 hours/week | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care across a float pool covering Med/Oncology, two surgical units, and two medical units within a large 128-bed Med/Surg department
Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a total care environment without dedicated PCAs
Care for patients with a range of diagnoses including surgical services (colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, orthopedic) and medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, and kidney and GI conditions
Perform occasional cardiac strip reading as needed; remote telemonitoring is available
Collaborate with respiratory therapy for any RT equipment needs; RNs are not required to independently manage vents, CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow devices
Float to any Med/Surg pod based on staffing needs as assigned
Required Qualifications
Active RN licensure (or compact eligibility) in the state of Arkansas
Current BLS certification required
Current, relevant medical/surgical experience in a large hospital setting
Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
Availability to start on either the 10/12 or 10/26 start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in oncology, surgical, or multi-specialty Med/Surg environments
Familiarity with remote telemonitoring and basic strip reading
Experience with or willingness to transition to EPIC (facility transitioning in late 2026)
