Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Neuro, Ortho, Peds)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics inpatient unit serving all ages over 28 days
- Manage a patient population with common diagnoses including trauma and post-operative Orthopedic and Neurological conditions, as well as general Pediatric cases
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 in a 24-bed unit setting
- Document and manage patient records using Paragon/Cerner EHR systems
- Float to other inpatient units as needed
- Work 3 weekends every 6 weeks as part of the regular schedule
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2+ years of adult Med/Surg nursing experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Current BLS certification
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills- 2+ years of Pediatric nursing experience
- PALS certification
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center environment
- Strong teamwork and collaborative approach to patient care
