Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Rotating Weekends | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an acute Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations (ages 18+)
• Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with minimal supervision
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, bladder scanners, and Dynamaps
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR
• Maintain patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 while working in a fast-paced, stressful environment
• Float occasionally to like units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (must be held prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate, timely action

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience on a Medical/Surgical unit strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR system
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and related acute care equipment
