Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Weekdays and Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
- Manage a patient assignment of 5–7 patients per shift in accordance with unit staffing ratios
- Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
- Adhere to unit attendance expectations, maintaining consistent and reliable shift coverage throughout the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in West Virginia or a valid Compact RN license (pending license accepted at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility (candidates between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working on a Medical Surgical unit with telemetry
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with Cerner modules specific to Med Surg workflows
