Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical in Morgantown, WV

Contract | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend or 2 Weekend Shifts Per Schedule | Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Orthopedic/Telemetry unit with a focus on joint replacements, fractures, and related orthopedic diagnoses
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5–6, with CNA support on the unit
• Monitor telemetry as needed; RNs are not required to independently read strips
• Collaborate with a Charge Nurse available 24/7 and an interdisciplinary care team
• Participate in the holiday rotation as expected for travel staff
• Float as needed to designated units within the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in West Virginia
• BLS certification (required, must be current/unexpired)
• Must have Total Joint Replacement experience — fracture experience alone does not meet this requirement
• Strong orthopedic nursing background required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted promptly for review
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working on an Orthopedic/Telemetry combination unit
• Familiarity with respiratory equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen as needed
• Comfort with floating to similar acute care units within a large hospital system
