Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Orthopedic Telemetry

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Orthopedic/Telemetry unit with a focus on joint replacements, fractures, and post-operative orthopedic patients
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5–6, with CNA support available on each shift
• Monitor telemetry as needed; RNs are not required to independently read strips
• Utilize respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) on an as-needed basis
• Participate in weekend rotation (every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule) and holiday rotation as expected
• Float as needed to other units within the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for the state of West Virginia
• BLS certification (required)
• Must have Total Joint Replacement experience — fracture experience alone does not meet this requirement
• Strong orthopedic nursing background required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (full vaccination series); medical or religious exemption requests must be submitted with appropriate documentation for review and approval
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working on an orthopedic/telemetry combination unit
• Familiarity with post-operative joint replacement care protocols
• Comfort with floating to similar medical-surgical units within a large acute care environment
