Perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
Implement patient care in a knowledgeable and consistent manner in adherence to established procedures, policies, and care plans.
Identify patient and family learning needs and deliver patient education in accordance with policy and care plans.
Document accurately in the patient chart via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate appropriate delegation of patient care activities and effectively supervise assigned coworkers, with potential to serve in a Charge Nurse capacity.
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, safety requirements, and infection control standards including proper use of equipment and safe lifting practices.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Ability to comfortably manage a 5:1 patient ratio.
Pediatric nursing experience required.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.
Strong critical thinking, organization, and priority-setting skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience functioning in a Charge Nurse role, including patient assignment delegation and staff coordination.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education, seminars, or professional affiliations.
