Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in a Medical Surgical setting
• Participate in patient and family teaching and education
• Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team personnel
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
• Recognize the individuality of each patient and ensure mutual goal setting between the nurse and patient
• Protect and uphold patient rights and privacy at all times

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatrics (Peds) nursing experience
