Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6–7
• Document and manage patient records using Epic charting system
• Float within scope to meet facility needs across like units or sister facilities as required
• Participate in every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation schedule
• Contribute to emergency response efforts as assigned, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; time-off requests submitted after submission will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records system
• Familiarity with Medical Surgical patient populations in an inpatient setting
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
