Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical in Nashville, TN

Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical/Surgical unit with patient ratios of 6:1 on days and 7:1 on nights
• Operate and manage equipment including IVs, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
• Document patient care and clinical information using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with a unit team that includes up to 3 technicians per shift
• Float in rotation to other appropriate areas of the facility as needed per unit policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Proficiency with IV management, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
• Ability to work every other weekend as part of the scheduling requirement
• Willingness to float to other appropriate units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Med/Surg unit workflows in an acute care hospital setting
