Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week (48-Hour Contracts Available Upon Request)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to a combination of medical and surgical patients including those with CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgical cases
Administer IV fluid and antibiotic therapies, manage heparin drips, and perform wound care including wound vac management
Conduct strong medical and post-surgical patient assessments, including basic telemetry monitoring
Manage patients presenting with confusion, behavioral health concerns, and CIWA protocols
Float within skillset to alternate campuses as needed, with a minimum of 2 hours notice provided for cross-campus floats
Participate in precepting of students and new hires as required in a teaching environment
Required Qualifications
Current active Registered Nurse compact license required
Minimum of two years of strong Medical-Surgical nursing experience
At least one prior travel nursing assignment
Trauma Level II experience required
Current AHA BLS certification required
Current NIHSS certification required
Recent EPIC charting experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with orthopedic medical-surgical patient populations
Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, work resiliently in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with a team
Comfort with cross-campus floating and mid-shift reassignments
