Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility standards and nursing best practices
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
- Perform neurological assessments utilizing the NIHSS scale as required
- Float within the hospital as needed based on unit census and staffing requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license (must be active or at minimum pending with a clear ETA)
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- NIHSS certification required
- Recent hands-on experience with EPIC EMR
- Must reside more than 40 miles from the facility; valid driver's license required for address verification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current ACLS and/or PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with Qualivis submission processes and compliance requirements
