Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility standards and nursing best practices
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by the care team
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing the NIHSS scale as required
• Float within the hospital as needed based on unit census and staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a valid Compact State license (must be active or at minimum pending with a clear ETA)
• Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification required
• Recent hands-on experience with EPIC EMR
• Must reside more than 40 miles from the facility; valid driver's license required for address verification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current ACLS and/or PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Qualivis submission processes and compliance requirements
