Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week options available | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical and related units, which may include Telemetry, PCU, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Trauma, Observation, and Stepdown settings
- Administer and manage IV drips as required across all assigned floors
- Float within scope of practice to meet staffing needs across multiple units and potentially a sister campus location
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including CNAs, care techs, transport teams, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements (Friday night and Saturday night) with 4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) state license (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled six weeks out)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- Ability and willingness to manage IV drips on all assigned floors
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification strongly preferred
- Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (considered in lieu of standard first-timer restrictions)
- Background in specialty areas such as Neuro, Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac, or Transplant nursing
