Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Inpatient Rehabilitation (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating every third weekend

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients on a 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, including post-stroke, neurological, orthopedic surgical, and medical patients requiring increased therapy
  • Serve as point person on night shift, coordinating care alongside one to two additional RNs, LPN, and PCT staff
  • Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes using the Meditech EMR system
  • Utilize rehabilitation-specific documentation practices to support patient progress and interdisciplinary communication
  • Float to other medical floors as needed per unit floating policy
  • Operate Welch Allyn equipment and adhere to unit-specific guidelines and dress code requirements (royal blue scrub top and bottom, or black scrub bottoms)
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with medical-surgical or inpatient rehabilitation patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • ACLS or PALS certification
  • Basic Dysrhythmia course completion
  • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) certification
  • Prior experience with rehabilitation documentation practices
