Key Responsibilities
Practice at the highest level of RN licensure by providing quality, competent care in accordance with state board of nursing standards and best practice guidelines.
Assess, plan, organize, and direct nursing functions while collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized plans of care.
Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers through a compassionate, service-oriented approach following the nursing process.
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of medical records while upholding confidentiality standards.
Delegate appropriately to team members based on skill level and advocate for patients across the healthcare continuum.
Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives and support the education of patients, families, and new staff members.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse licensure issued by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required prior to start date.
Ability to work a rotating shift schedule in an onsite acute care environment.
Ability to frequently lift, move, or carry objects or persons up to 35 pounds or more.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Prior experience as an RN in a healthcare setting.
Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
