Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg | Days
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg)

Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
Schedule: Every other weekend
Call: None

Position Overview

This position is ideal for an experienced Med Surg RN who is comfortable caring for a diverse patient population, working across multiple Med Surg units, and floating as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med Surg patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Float to any Medical Surgical unit as required.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and basic dysrhythmia knowledge.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech Expanse.
• Follow facility policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license – must be in hand at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical RN experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Willingness to float to any Med Surg unit.
• BLS – American Heart Association (AHA) – must be in hand.
• ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA) – must be in hand.
• NIHSS – must be in hand
