Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac/Neuro unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms as part of routine unit responsibilities
• Care for patients with cardiac and neurological conditions, applying high proficiency in assessment and intervention
• Demonstrate willingness to float to other units as needed
• Participate in holiday coverage, including working two of the designated major holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
• Complete non-billable orientation prior to beginning independent patient care assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be current and in hand at time of submission)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion (strongly required)
• 4+ years of current Medical Surgical / Cardiac / Neuro experience; candidates with Med Surg experience only are not eligible for this role
• Telemetry experience required
• Willingness to float is required
• Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
• Strong proficiency with cardiac and neurological patient populations as demonstrated on a current skills checklist
