    Job Title

    Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

    Location

    Portland, ME

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 46-bed Medical/Surgical Transitional Care unit serving a mix of medical and surgical patients who are medically ready for discharge
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMRmanage a patient assignment at a maximum ratio of 1:8, delivering patient-centered, safe, and efficient care
    • Operate and monitor specialty equipment including Philips vital sign monitors, overhead lifts, bladder scanners, specialty beds, and other unit-specific devices
    • Float to other units as needed based on skillset
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support transitional care goals and patient discharge planning
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN licensure (compact or Maine state license as applicable)
    • Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
    • Current BLS certification
    • Proficiency with charting and EMR systems; Epic experience strongly applicable
    • Completion of required Healthstream education modules prior to or at start
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in transitional care, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) settings
    • Familiarity with specialty bed equipment such as Synergy Air beds, Stryker beds, and Sara Steady lift systems
