Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, rotating holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:6, with occasional 1:7 during surge
• Perform procedures including continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), wound care, drain management (chest tubes, Jackson-Pratt drains), Foley insertion, and central line dressing changes
• Monitor telemetry and perform EKGs as needed
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounding, and maintain personal connections with patients per unit guidelines
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
• Float to units of the same level of care as needed per facility float policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Current BLS certification required
• IV certification required
• Medical Surgical nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med-Surg environment
• Experience with a broad range of Med-Surg procedures including chest tube and drain management
