Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time (36 or 48 hours per week) | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Weekends, Holidays, and On-Call per Unit Need
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit specializing in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses
- Participate in rotating shift schedules including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call or callback assignments as needed
- Demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Function as a collaborative team member and assume charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
- Engage in opportunities for education and professional growth within a unit recognized for research and innovation
Required Qualifications- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Orthopedic nursing experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
- Demonstrated ability to serve in a charge nurse capacity
