Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Comfortably manage a patient load of up to 5–7 patients per shift
• Provide care to medical-surgical, post-operative, and surgical patients
• Document and manage patient information using EPIC EMR
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg, Post-Op, or Stepdown nursing experience required
• Surgical and post-operative surgical experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Active Illinois and/or Iowa state RN license required
• Valid Driver's License required
• Must not have been employed at this facility within the last 12 months
• Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one travel contract previously completed
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center environment
• Familiarity with nurse-to-patient ratio documentation on work history
