Provide direct patient care on a 45-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and medical patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, and pneumonia
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 on nights, delivering organized and patient-focused nursing care
Operate unit equipment including Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips Cardiac Monitor
Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC EMR
Perform telemetry monitoring and demonstrate proficient IV skills
Float within the unit as required and complete assigned LMS education modules
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with prior travel nursing experience preferred
Proficiency in IV skills and telemetry monitoring
Ability to float and adapt to unit needs as required
Preferred Experience / Skills
PALS certification (required only if assigned to care for pediatric patients on the general floor)
Experience with medical/surgical patient populations including orthopedic, urology, and general surgery
Familiarity with EPIC EMR
