Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Projected Start: August 31, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Care for post-operative patients, including monitoring and recovery support
• Maintain and manage surgical drains and drainage systems
• Perform dressing changes, wound care, and related procedures
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-operative patients
• Proficiency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
