Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Care for post-operative patients, monitoring recovery and managing clinical needs
• Maintain and manage surgical drains and drainage systems
• Perform dressing changes, wound care, and related wound management procedures
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• BLS certification required — candidates without this will not be considered
• Travel nursing contract position — candidate must meet travel assignment eligibility requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-operative patients in a Med Surg setting
• Proficiency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
