Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every third weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a mixed OB/GYN and medical-surgical population, including mother/baby, GYN surgical, bariatric, and colorectal surgery patients
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision and quality of patient care, evaluating the effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers
• Coordinate patient care activities in conjunction with other departments to ensure continuity and safety
• Uphold patient rights and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps and document care using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units as required by the facility based on skill level; night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires full-week availability

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical or Mother/Baby nursing
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in both Mother/Baby and Medical-Surgical nursing due to the unit's diverse patient population
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• STABLE Program certification preferred
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR
