Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for all age groups, including patients with GI, GU, wound care, acute withdrawal, altered mental status, dialysis/ESRD, and minor surgical needs
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and maintain professional accountability
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors
• Document and manage patient information using EPIC EMR
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs; work every other weekend as required by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
• Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Patient-focused, team-oriented approach to care
