Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 or 48 Hours Weekly Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidity patients
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary and interdisciplinary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
Perform physical care duties including lifting, turning, bending, and stooping; must be able to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold a Missouri RN license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med Surg/Orthopedics experience
Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required for assignments running November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Dedicated orthopedic nursing experience
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Demonstrated teamwork, dependability, and flexibility in a fast-paced inpatient environment
