Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Neuroscience (Nights)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Rotating Weekends | 13–26 Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care on a Neurosurgical unit, including patients with stroke, seizures, MS, and other neurological diagnoses or post-neurosurgery conditions.
- Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients with a 1:5–6 patient ratio.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards.
- Float within scope of practice as needed.
- Demonstrate willingness to serve in an occasional charge nurse capacity as required.
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience in Medical Surgical and/or Neuroscience nursing required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current NIHSS certification required.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
- Must complete an on-site FIT test; willingness to comply with this requirement is mandatory.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior charge nurse experience is helpful but not required.
- Team-oriented, patient-focused approach to care delivery.
