Travel RN – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
- Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
- Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
- Operate unit equipment including bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacs
- Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
Required Qualifications- Current RN license – must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Flu vaccination (or approved exemption) required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Ability to work every other weekend as required by the facility
- Must be available the entire first week for day-shift orientation (night shift orients on days)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA only
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Med Surg/Telemetry background
