Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-surgical and medical comorbidity patients
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards
Operate unit equipment including Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, PCA pumps, and remote telemetry monitors
Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, and turn patients with assistance; must push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. and pinch up to 15 lbs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA only
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Experience with Oncology, Neuro Surgical Recovery, or Surgical patient populations (GI, GU, Plastics, Overflow Ortho)
Proficiency with EPIC EMR
