Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM) | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit within an inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Manage a patient ratio of approximately 7–8 patients per nurse
- Adhere to facility protocols including proper use of PPE when caring for potential isolation patients
- Complete floor orientation prior to first clinical shift and obtain badge and EMR access before starting
- Follow facility call-out procedures, including notifying the hospital a minimum of 2 hours prior to a scheduled shift in the event of illness
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts as assigned based on facility needs
- Must complete facility clearance and floor orientation prior to first shift
- Compliance with facility dress code (royal blue scrubs required)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a rehabilitation hospital or inpatient rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
