Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Oncology Floor)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension | Every Other Weekend (EOW) | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Oncology floor
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7, with experience in higher ratios required
- Perform telemetry monitoring and IV starts as part of routine patient care
- Document patient information and care accurately using Cerner and Soarian EMR systems
- Adhere to block scheduling requirements and every-other-weekend availability commitments
- Complete up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules via HealthStream prior to start
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be obtained prior to start; proof of pending licensure may be considered)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and IV insertion
- Experience working with higher patient ratios (1:6 or 1:7)
- Minimal to no requested time off (RTO), particularly around holidays; any RTO must be disclosed at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Oncology nursing experience highly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner and Soarian EMR platforms
